It starts and ends with quality ingredients and the recipe for the sauce. It has been said by many that L&B's upside down Sicilian slice might be the best in New York. It all started at the turn of the 20th century, when Ludovico Barbati came to the United States and proceeded to learn how to make bread in a garage on West 8th Street.

Parking is always at a premium and very difficult around this busy intersection

Catering orders may not always be correct

The service is inconsistent depending on the timing and day of the week

L&B has been around for over 100 years, is now in it's fourth generation of owners, and has stood the test of time, the food over the years has maintained the high quality that has been consistent for the last century which is a testament to the Barbati Family.
